Sorbitan Easter
The SPAN series products also called as Sorbitan Ester,it is a lipophilic and nonionic surfactant.It is safe and nontoxic to add it in food as emulsifier when properly used.There are various types because of different fatty acids.The HLB Value is between 1.8~8.6.Sorbitan Ester can dissolve in polar organic solvents and oils.

Applications:
SPAN 20:Acts as a co-emulsifier in oil/water emulsions, suitable for skin care and color cosmetics. Also used in sun care products, hair care, lip care, eye care, specific skin care treatments, sun protection, after-sun, deodorants,antiperspirants and baby Care.As oil/water emulsifier,wetter agent and lubricant it’s also widely used in pharmaceutical,textile and other industries.
SPAN 40: Acts as oil/water co-emulsifier. Possesses a wax-like structure that is useful where rigidity is needed in lipophilic compositions. Used in antiperspirants, deodorants, baby care, body care, color cosmetics, conditioners, creams & lotions-skin care, eye care, facial care, facial make-up, lip care, eye care, shaving, shaving-male grooming, skin-baby care, and other personal care products’ formulations.It’s also widely used in printing inks,oil field and other industries.
SPAN 60: Mainly used as anti-static agent, emulsifier and stabilizer in Pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food, pesticide, coatings, plastic,textiles and other industries.
SPAN 80: Acts as wetting agent,emulsifier. Used in after-sun, baby care, bath products, body-male grooming, cleaners, toners, color cosmetics, facial-male grooming, feet, hands, nails, hair care, hair-male grooming, eye care, lip care, male grooming, skin care creams, lotions, skin protection, specific skin care treatments, sprayable emulsions, styling-hair care, sun care products, sun protection, treatments-hair care.It’s also used in Pharmaceutical,Textile,Paints and other industries.
