    Glabridin

Glabridin is a kind of flavonoids, extracted from the dry rhizomes of Glycyrrhiza glabra. It is known as “whitening gold” because of its powerful whitening effect. Glabridin can effectively inhibit tyrosinase activity, thereby inhibiting the production of melanin. It is a safe, mild as well as effective whitening active ingredient. Experimental data show that the whitening effect of Glabridin is 232 times that of vitamin C, 16 times that of hydroquinone, and 1164 times that of arbutin.
